Congressman Flood: SEC Approval of Bitcoin ETFs Long Overdue

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following news that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had approved Bitcoin ETFs for the first time.

“I am pleased to see the SEC has finally moved to approve spot Bitcoin ETFs. It is past time that investors get greater access to the digital asset economy. As I stated in my September letter to the SEC, the DC Court of Appeals spoke with clarity on this issue: the SEC’s initial denial of Grayscale’s application was ‘unlawful.’ I am glad that in the end common-sense and the rule of law won out, and retail investors across the country will get greater choice as a result.”
