Congressman Flood Announces Flyover Fintech Panel on “Innovation in Nebraska”

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced Flyover Fintech will include a panel on “Innovation in Nebraska.” The panel, featuring industry leaders from FNBO, the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, Nelnet, and Telcoin, will happen at the Congressman’s Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln on October 21, 2024.

“Nebraska has developed a reputation as the home for the Silicon Prairie startup community,” said Congressman Flood. “We’re excited to welcome a wide variety of innovators who will showcase the outstanding work going on in the Good Life that’s developing great jobs and opportunities for the next generation. Brian Ardinger is Director of Innovation at Nelnet, author of Accelerated: A Guide to Innovating at the Speed of Change, and founder of InsideOutside.io. For over 25 years, Brian has helped top brands and explosive startups engage the latest tools, trends, and tactics to accelerate innovation and compete in a world of change and disruption. 

Claire Devney is the Head of Fintech Engagement at FNBO. In her role, Claire leads the bank’s innovation group and drives fintech investments and ecosystem enablement. Prior to joining FNBO, she worked in the airline and software-as-a-service industries in a career that spanned the US and UK. Outside of the bank, Claire is an adjunct instructor at Creighton University, teaching Foundations of Fintech to undergraduate students.

Megan Elliott is the endowed founding director of the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts – a $57 million investment at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln that supports creativity, interdisciplinarity, innovation, technology, and next-gen storytelling. Megan co-founded X Media Lab – one of the world’s most distinguished digital media and entrepreneurship programs, held across 22 cities and 14 countries around the globe and featuring some of the world’s biggest brands and media/tech stars. 

Paul Neuner is the founder and CEO of Telcoin, a digital asset wallet company applying to establish what would be the first Digital Asset Depository Institution chartered by the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance under the Nebraska Financial Innovation Act. Before Telcoin, he was an entrepreneur in cybersecurity and telecom fraud management, including as founder and CEO of Mobius Wireless Solutions, which built revenue assurance and fraud management solutions for mobile network operators globally. Paul also previously founded the Internet application development department of Ernst & Young Technologies.

Flyover Fintech conferences feature a wide variety of speakers, ranging from members of the House Financial Services Committee to leading voices in the fintech industry.

Congressman Flood has previously announced that House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenryCongressman Andy Barr, and Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance Director Kelly Lammers will also address this year’s Flyover Fintech Conference. Last week, he unveiled a panel titled “AI & Housing,” which includes representatives from Bilt Rewards, Rocket Mortgage, Zest AI, and Zillow.
