WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of Independence Day, which is observed Friday, July 4th.

"As Americans gather across the country for Independence Day, we celebrate the freedoms that generations have bravely sacrificed for and fought to protect. From the Boston Tea Party and the American Revolution to two World Wars and our decades long battle against terrorism, hundreds of thousands have given their lives to protect our constitutional republic.
