Rep. Flood Votes to Keep Our Government Working for the People

December 20, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following the passage of the “American Relief Act,” which funds the federal government until early next year.

“Today’s vote to keep Washington working for the people is a win for Nebraska’s hardworking families, farmers, and communities. This measure includes critical ag programs and ensures that active-duty military service members get paid through the holidays. While I’m disappointed year-round E15 was not included in the final measure, I’ll keep fighting for it as we enter the next Congress. I commend our House Republican leadership for their tireless efforts to unite Members and keep our government running, despite the political games of Congressional Democrats and President Biden. I urge the Senate to act quickly to ensure our government continues serving the American people through the holiday season.”
