Congressman Mike Flood Visits Major Lincoln Businesses

LINCOLN, NE – On Tuesday, Congressman Flood visited Kawasaki Motors, Hudl, Olsson, and Sampson Construction. Together, these four businesses employ thousands of people in the Lincoln area, producing products and delivering services around the world. These visits come as Congressman Flood prepares to vote against the job-killing Inflation Expansion Act.
“We need to support businesses in our community, and make sure that the employers, like Kawasaki, Hudl, and others can create even more jobs. President Biden’s Inflation Expansion Act does just the opposite. It will raise taxes, increase spending, and expand inflation all while hurting working Americans who are trying to put food on the table and make a better life for their families,” said Congressman Flood.
Kawasaki builds rail cars and side by side products at their Lincoln facility. Like many businesses across the country, supply chain issues have impacted their operations.
“Kawasaki was honored to host Congressman Flood this week at our Lincoln facility. For almost 50 years, we’ve been creating great jobs in the Lincoln area, and we appreciate the Congressman’s support for creating a better environment for us to grow in amidst a number of challenges, including workforce shortages and supply chain backlogs,” said Jason Hellbusch, Corporate Director of Administration for Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A.
Following his visit to Kawasaki, Congressman Flood made his way to Hudl, a hub of the Silicon Prairie in Nebraska. David Graff, the CEO and University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate, led the tour of Hudl’s state-of-the-art building in Lincoln’s historic Haymarket. Hudl markets their sports software services around the world.

After Hudl, the Congressman went across the street to Olsson, a nationally recognized engineering and design firm. His final stop was Sampson Construction in south Lincoln.
