Congressman Flood’s Statement on Bruce Lauritzen’s Passing

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following the passing of Bruce Lauritzen, former president and chairman of FNBO.
“Bruce’s life work is remarkable — he leaves a legacy that is unparalleled in Nebraska banking. He reshaped Omaha’s skyline with FNBO’s skyscraper. He raised the standard of excellence in banking as FNBO grew dramatically. And even as the bank expanded, Bruce ensured that relationship banking remained at the core of its identity. His generous philanthropy not only supported traditional charities, but also established world-class botanical gardens enjoyed by thousands of people over the years. His work will live on as his family carries it out for generations to come. Mandi and I are mourning his loss and are keeping the Lauritzens in our prayers as we celebrate and remember his life and legacy.”
