Congressman Flood's Presidents' Day Statement

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of Presidents’ Day, which is observed Monday, February 17th. 

“For Americans, Presidents’ Day is a celebration of our greatest statesmen: Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. These two men led America through conflicts that marked some of the most difficult chapters in American history. President Lincoln guided America through the Civil War, helping to end slavery while President Reagan battled against the encroachment of communism during the Cold War. As America looks to the future, we continue to draw inspiration and guidance from their leadership and their character.”
