Congressman Flood’s Patriot Day Statement

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of Patriot Day, which is observed on Monday, September 11th.
“On this day, we pause to remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost when terrorists perpetrated attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. More than 20 years later, many Americans are still grappling with the grief and loss of the horrific tragedy that day brought. Even amid the darkness, these awful acts of terrorism against our country also revealed how strong, brave, and resilient Americans are. Mandi, the boys, and I send our thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims as our country continues to honor and mourn the American heroes we lost on that tragic day.”
