Congressman Flood's Patriot Day Statement

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of the upcoming Patriot Day, which is observed on September 11th.
“This weekend, we pause to remember the 2,977 lives taken on September 11, 2001, when terrorists perpetrated the World Trade Center, Pentagon and United Flight 93 attacks. In the midst of these tragedies, the world witnessed great bravery and heroism from first responders who put their lives on the line to save others. This day stands as a memorial to how resilient America has been through the years – and continues to be. More than 20 years later, we recognize that many Americans continue to live with great grief and loss caused by these evil events, and we send our thoughts and prayers to the families and everyone who lost a loved one on this day.”
