Congressman Flood’s Office to Hold Military Service Academy Day at Bellevue University

BELLEVUE, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced his office will hold a Military Service Academy Day at the John B. Muller Admin Building at Bellevue University at 812 Bruin Blvd. in Bellevue on April 22nd from 8:30am to 12:00pm. This is an opportunity for high school students to learn more about the application process to become a commissioned officer through one of our country’s five service academies: the U.S. Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, and Merchant Marine Academy.
“Nebraskans are stepping up to serve as the next generation of leaders in our country’s Armed Forces,” said Congressman Flood. “This is a great opportunity to learn more about what it means to attend one of these five Military Service Academies. Any interested applicant is encouraged to attend.”
Applicants to the academies, excluding the Coast Guard Academy, must be nominated by a Member of Congress. This Academy Day is being cohosted with U.S. Senator Deb Fischer’s office.
