Today, we celebrate 157 years as a state, and we have a lot to be thankful for.

Through the years, Nebraska has grown, attracting great opportunities in a diverse array of industries.

We’re home to Kawasaki, Lindsey, Nucor, Nelnet, Hudl, and Offutt Air Force Base.

Companies like these employ thousands of Nebraskans, build rail cars, construct center pivots, and forge steel.

In Nebraska, agriculture towers over every other industry, helping every community big and small to grow and thrive.

Our farmers and ranchers help feed the world. We are the Beef State, we are the Cornhusker State, and we’re also the top state for popcorn and number one for agricultural cash receipts per capita.

Throughout our 157 years, Nebraskans have contributed a great deal to the U.S. – Runza, Valentino’s, Dorothy Lynch, Kool-Aid, Arbor Day, and even the McRib.

While all of these successes make Nebraska a great state to live, work, and raise a family, it’s Nebraskans who make our state what it is today. “Nebraska nice” isn’t just a saying, it’s a way of life for us.

Happy 157th anniversary and God bless the Good Life.
