Congressman Flood’s Christmas Statement

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement ahead of the Christmas holiday, which is celebrated on Sunday, December 25th.
“Over the years, we’ve developed many cherished traditions around the Christmas holiday –traveling to see family, making food, gathering to exchange presents, and giving back to our community. In the busyness, it’s easy to forget what this is all about: the reality that Jesus Christ was born on this day in Bethlehem. He came to save the world from sin, freeing us from our burdens and our brokenness. As Advent concludes and we welcome the birth of our Savior, let’s turn our hearts in gratitude and thanks to God for the gift of His Son and the many blessings we’ve received this year.”
“Mandi, the boys, and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and encourage everyone to travel safely in the midst of the harsh weather conditions.”
