Congressman Flood Warns Against Protracted Bidenflation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following news that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed inflation continues to remain elevated at 3.5% year over year in March. 

“Years of out-of-control spending by President Biden and Washington Democrats have made it difficult to get inflation under control as working Americans continue to pay more and more for housing, groceries, and everyday basic needs. Even though House Republicans were able to pump the brakes and control spending in the budget for this year, we can expect Bidenflation to persist as the President’s administration continues to shell out billions of dollars under programs passed in the years when Democrats controlled Congress.”

Last year, Congressman Flood voted for H.R. 347, which would require President Joe Biden to estimate the inflation impact of his executive actions.
