Congressman Flood Votes to Keep Government Open, Pay Border Patrol Officers

January 18, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following a vote on H.R. 2872, also known as the Further Additional Continuing Appropriations and Other Extensions Act, 2024.

“Speaker Johnson has been doing outstanding work successfully securing budget cuts even as he has to deal with Democrats who control the Senate and the White House. Keeping our government open is critical to ensuring our Border Patrol continues to function and federal agencies provide the basic customer service people deserve. Even with the challenge of different parties leading the House and the Senate, Washington is finally moving towards voting on budget bills that control spending.”
