Congressman Flood Votes to Cut Government Spending, Approve Debt Limit Deal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following a vote on H.R. 2811 also known as the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023. 

“House Republicans are reining in the reckless spending of Washington Democrats that’s been causing record high inflation and eroding the wages of working Americans. The Limit, Save, Grow Act saves Americans trillions and caps the rate of government growth while protecting Social Security and growing our economy. It is a very reasonable plan – one Democrats and Republicans should be able to rally around. President Biden needs to come to the table and negotiate with Speaker McCarthy and the legislative branch, so we can bring together both sides to work out a deal that is good for America.”
