Congressman Flood: Office Returned $3.3 Million from Federal Agencies to First District Constituents
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced his office assisted in returning more than $3.3 million owed by federal agencies to constituents across Nebraska’s First District since 2022.
“Constituents contact my office every day needing assistance. One challenge we commonly work through is ensuring federal agencies return taxpayer money to its rightful owner. My team works as diligently as possible to make sure Nebraskans get what they are due, and I am very proud of what they have accomplished,” said Rep. Constituents saw money returned from a variety of agencies including the Internal Revenue Service and Social Security Administration among others. Types of returned resources include retirement money, back pay, federal tax credits, tax returns, veterans’ benefits, Social Security benefits, and other categories.
