WASHINGTON, D.C. –Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood released a statement following President Trump’s rollback of the EPA’s so-called “Endangerment Finding,” an Obama-era rule created without congressional action.
“I applaud President Trump’s decision to overturn the so-called ‘endangerment finding,’ which was made during the Obama administration. This regulation represented a significant executive overreach and was never authorized by legislative action. The consequences of this bad regulation were dramatic. It raised costs on job creators and hiked consumer prices on goods like cars. Let’s be clear: America had clean air before this regulation was put in place and we’ll still have clean air after it’s rolled back, while delivering over $1.3 trillion in savings for American consumers.”
