Congressman Flood: Nebraska Needs Answers About Possible CCP Outpost

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following arrests by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of two men connected with a secret Chinese police station in New York and subsequent reporting on additional Chinese Communist Party (CCP) outposts in a variety of places across the United States, including Omaha, Nebraska.
“From Huawei to TikTok, the CCP has extended its sphere of influence around the world and right into the heart of the United States,” said Congressman Flood. “I am very concerned about the reports of additional CCP outposts on the heels of the arrests in New York. Every one of these outposts needs to be shut down immediately. It’s not just about protecting intellectual property and national security – it’s about the safety of our people. I’ve contacted the FBI for a briefing and will do everything I can to support their work to get Nebraskans all the answers we deserve.”
