Congressman Flood Named to Financial Services Committee

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following an announcement by the House Republican Steering Committee that he had been named to the Financial Services Committee for the 118th Congress.
“It’s an honor to be named to the Financial Services Committee. Banking, finance, and insurance are key job creators across the First Congressional District. There’s important work to be done on this committee to grow and protect the economic well-being and freedom of Americans as our country’s financial system evolves in a digital economy. I look forward to collaborating with Chairman McHenry and Nebraska’s banking and insurance sectors on a diverse set of priorities ranging from digital asset regulation to the encroachment of ESG.”
“I am proud to welcome Congressman Mike Flood to the Committee,” said Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry. “His work to support small businesses and increase access to capital make him a valuable addition to our already dynamic team. I have no doubt Mike will continue to serve Nebraskans well in this new role.”
The Financial Services Committee has federal jurisdiction over banking, capital markets, housing, insurance, international finance, money and credit, and urban development.
