Congressman Flood Launches Washington Internship Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced the launch of an internship program in his Washington, D.C. office. Students are encouraged to apply for seasonal internships in the summer, fall, and spring.
“I’m excited to announce my office is launching our Washington internship program,” said Congressman Flood. “This program provides students with a way to get firsthand experience in our nation’s capital and an upfront view of how public policy is shaped. I encourage students to apply now.”
Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside each team within our full-time congressional staff. The internship curriculum is meant to provide interns with an understanding of how a congressional office processes constituent services, communications, operations, legislation, and committee work. Interns are also encouraged to attend multiple congressional hearings, policy briefings, guest speakers, exhibits, and networking events on Capitol Hill.
The deadline to apply for a summer internship is March 31, 2023. Applications for other seasons will be accepted on a rolling basis. Students from Nebraska’s First Congressional District will receive first consideration. Full details about the internship program can be found here.
