Congressman Flood Highlights High Gas Prices, Negative Impact of President Biden’s Energy Policies

LINCOLN, NE – On Monday, Congressman Flood visited a U-Stop location in Lincoln as the gas station temporarily dropped the price of unleaded fuel to $2.38, the price when President Biden took office.
“From four-dollar-a-gallon gas to canceling Keystone XL, the energy policy championed by Washington Democrats has driven up the cost of energy and travel for working Americans, and the Inflation Expansion Act is only to going to make it worse,” Congressman Flood said, “I am working every day to push back on Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi’s radical polices, which are making it more difficult for working Nebraskans to manage their family budgets and enjoy the Good Life.”
Congressman Flood was joined by state senators as they listened to Nebraskans who shared about the pain at the pump they’ve experienced in recent months. While temporary, the relief provided to customers allowed them to pay about a dollar less per gallon than they have been in recent days. During the last two years, Nebraskans have seen the price of gas rising, along with many other basic necessities, as Washington Democrats push for more and more reckless spending.
While Congressman Flood was in Lincoln, he also checked on the progress of the Lincoln South Beltway Project, which is expected to be done within months.
