Congressman Flood Encourages Nebraskans to Participate in Broadband Initiative as Deadline Approaches

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued an alert regarding a broadband mapping initiative from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). All Nebraskans are encouraged to participate before the FCC’s January 13th deadline.
“Broadband internet access is a major factor in both economic growth and quality of life. There is still a lot of work to do to ensure every community has high speed broadband, including those right here in the First District. The FCC is working to map access to broadband internet across the country as a part of their work in distributing billions of federal broadband funding to states. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to let the FCC know what kind of internet quality your neighborhood has, so that we have a better shot at getting more resources to communities that need them.”
