Congressman Flood Congratulates Senator Pete Ricketts

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following the appointment of Pete Ricketts as the next U.S. Senator from Nebraska. 

“Senator Ricketts will be a strong conservative, a voice for agriculture, and an advocate for Offutt Air Force Base in the U.S. Senate. From pushing back on Washington’s regulatory overreach to raising Nebraska’s international profile, his experience as Governor has uniquely prepared him to get to work on a wide array of federal issues right away. This appointment by Governor Jim Pillen fills a vacancy created by the resignation of former U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, who stepped down earlier this month.
