Congressman Flood Congratulates Pope Leo XIV

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following news that Cardinal Robert Prevost had been selected as the next pope of the Roman Catholic Church. 

"Congratulations to Cardinal Prevost on his election as the Holy Father. While stories today will focus on the historic nature of an American pope, he has a big task before him in leading the Church with 1.4 billion Catholics in a changing world and carrying out the mission of sharing Christ’s message of hope and salvation with the world.
