LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement following news that inflation rose 8.2% in September compared to the previous year.

“Joe Biden’s reckless spending continues to fuel record inflation,” said Congressman Flood. “From electricity to food to gasoline, working Americans experienced crushing increases in the cost of basic goods and services this month while Washington Democrats continue to fan the flames of inflation with more government spending. But it doesn’t have to be this way. House Republicans recently unveiled our Commitment to America, which will get inflation under control.
