WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood issued a statement after news that President Biden would make changes to U.S. border policy.

“President Biden’s announcement does nothing to end the humanitarian crisis that his policies and rhetoric have created on our southern border. Under his own plan, the President continues the practice of catch-and-release, and he is still allowing hundreds of thousands who come to America illegally to claim asylum. President Biden’s immigration crisis won’t end until strong border policies are in place, like the ones House Republicans passed in H.R. 2. Illegal immigration will continue until the President sends a message loud and clear: You must respect our laws if you want to come to America.”
