Congressman Flood Announces the Start of the 2026 Congressional App Challenge for Middle and High School Coders

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced the start of the 2026 Congressional App Challenge for Nebraska First Congressional District. The Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide competition that encourages middle and high school students to learn coding, develop technical skills, and explore careers in computer science.

“Nebraska’s 'Silicon Prairie' spirit is driven by innovation, entrepreneurship, and a talented next generation,” said Congressman Flood. “I encourage students throughout Nebraska’s First District to take part in this year’s Congressional App Challenge and put their coding skills to work. I look forward to seeing the creative solutions and groundbreaking ideas they bring to this year’s challenge.”

Registration is currently open for the 2026 Congressional App Challenge. The deadline for submissions is October 26th, 2026.
