Congressman Flood Announces Flyover Fintech Panel on “Fintech Innovation and AI"

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced Flyover Fintech will feature a panel on “Fintech Innovation and AI.” The panel, featuring industry leaders from Block, Fiserv, Marsh, and Mastercard will happen at the Congressman’s Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln on August 2, 2023. 

“Artificial intelligence is one of many technologies that are going to change the way we spend, save and invest,” said Congressman Flood. “This panel showcases a wide range of innovative businesses from across the fintech spectrum, including AI. Tom Carpenter is the Senior Vice President for Open Banking Policy, Industry & Standards Engagement at Mastercard where he leads Mastercard’s strategic advocacy on open banking and open finance with regulators, policymakers and industry partners in North America.

Christy Field is Director of Software Development at Fiserv in Lincoln, Nebraska. Christy has been applying her expertise in the area of virtual banking. She and a Fiserv team have been developing a Virtual Banking Assistant that allows Financial Institutions to deliver intelligent, AI-driven conversational experiences to grow, retain, and engage their consumers while reducing call center costs.

Jaymin Kim is Senior Vice President, Emerging Technologies, Cyber Practice for Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor. As SVP, Emerging Technologies, Jaymin helps Marsh clients understand and navigate risks that arise with the convergence of new and existing technologies. She advises Fortune 100 companies and is a frequent speaker on navigating opportunities and risks related to emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Extended Reality, blockchain technology, and digital assets.

Tom Manatos is the Head of Federal Affairs at Block, a company that includes Square, Cash App, TIDAL, Afterpay, TBD and Spiral. Tom works to deepen Block’s relationships and advance legislative and regulatory priorities to ensure Block's vision of economic empowerment and access to financial systems for all consumers is well represented at all levels of the federal government.
