Congressman Flood Accepting Applications for Spring Internship Program in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced his office is taking applications for the spring internship program in his Washington, D.C. office.
“I’m pleased to announce that my team is currently accepting applications for our Washington, D.C. spring internship program,” said Congressman Flood. “This program provides interns with invaluable experience in our nation's capital alongside with a front-seat view of Congress at work.
Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside each team with the office’s full-time congressional staff. The internship curriculum leaves interns with an understanding of how a congressional office administers constituent services, produces communications, its operations, works on legislative affairs, and conducts committee work.
Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to attend congressional hearings, policy briefings, guest speaker events, exhibits, and networking opportunities on Capitol Hill.
The deadline to apply for the spring internship is November 29, 2024. Applicants will be notified of their selection by December 6, and the internship will run from February 3 through May 16. Graphic design and writing experience are valued; examples may be submitted with your resume.
Students and recent graduates with ties to Nebraska’s first congressional district will receive first consideration. Full details about the internship program can be found here.
