The AGP facility north of David City is very noticeable visually, but its daily volume is the real thing to pay attention to, U.S. Rep. Mike Flood said after a tour of the plant Sept. 8.
"Many of you have probably driven by the monster plant or seen it all lit up at night but it's an amazing victory for biofuels, for soybean producers, for farmers, the people that grow the soybeans," Flood said. "Up to 200 trucks a day are coming in there. Nine cars, train cars are filled full of soybean oil each day. This is a major employer but also a big win for agriculture."
Flood stopped at the Northside Cafe after his visit to AGP to meet David City residents.
