Congressional App Challenge

Every year the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) challenges students in their district to create and submit original apps for a chance to win the CAC. Each challenge is district-specific. U.S. Representatives will publicly recognize their district’s winning teams and each winning app may be put on display in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year.
The Congressional App Challenge’s annual House of Code — the new national science fair — brings CAC winners to our nation’s capital for a demo day, where students demonstrate their winning apps.
The CAC is the most prestigious prize in student computer science. Participation in the challenge has grown exponentially and has reached underserved, diverse, and rural student populations.
The Congressional Internet Caucus initiates the annual CAC. The CAC appointed the non-profit Internet Education Foundation to provide the CAC with supplemental staffing and support.
