Congressman Flood Announces Flyover Fintech Panel on "Digital Asset ETFs"

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced Flyover Fintech will include a panel on “Digital Asset ETFs.” The panel, featuring representatives from Bitwise Asset Management, Blackrock, Fidelity Investments, and Grayscale Investments, will happen at the Congressman’s Flyover Fintech Conference in Lincoln on October 21, 2024.
"The SEC’s approval of spot trading for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETPs this year was a historic development for digital assets in the United States," said Congressman Flood. "I’m excited to announce Flyover Fintech’s 'Digital Asset ETFs' panel, featuring leading change-makers who are helping connect Americans to this rapidly growing market. Johanna Collins-Wood is the senior counsel at Bitwise Asset Management and the chief compliance officer of Bitwise Investment Manager, an SEC-registered investment adviser. Prior to Bitwise, she advised innovative financial technology companies at the law firms Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati and Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders. A Duke Law graduate, Ms. Collins-Wood began her career in the London office of Davis Polk & Wardwell, where she advised entrepreneurial companies on their initial public offerings in Europe and the U.S. Ms. Collins-Wood serves on several non-profit boards focused on education and the arts.
Matthew Brennan is the Head of US ETF Capital Markets team at BlackRock which seeks to protect and grow trading integrity of ETFs. His team actively monitors and improves the ETF ecosystem, encompassing investors, broker-dealers, market-makers, trading venues and authorized participants. In this role he oversees the daily primary creation/redemption activity and secondary trading market quality for all US domiciled listed ETFs. Matt joined Blackrock in February 2015 from J.P. Morgan where he spent 4 years in the Investment bank's Credit Risk team focusing on Collateral Risk Management.
Matt Horne leads the digital asset strategist team for Fidelity Investments’ Digital Asset Management division. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to institutions, financial intermediaries, and individuals. He has held various roles across Fidelity’s asset management business and distribution channels, helping to launch and build out Fidelity’s digital asset ETP business. Prior to joining Fidelity, Matt was a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy where he served as a nuclear submarine officer.
Krista Lynch is a Vice President on Grayscale’s ETF team, where she leads ETF Capital Markets. Krista works with Authorized Participants, ETF market makers, and digital asset liquidity providers to ensure healthy trading of Grayscale’s ETFs and to grow the ecosystem surrounding Grayscale’s products. Prior to joining Grayscale, Krista was a Vice President at BlackRock, where she managed daily primary market trading for iShares fixed income ETFs.
